Project Structure

To enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of the project, it is being implemented through the Peoples Coordinating Committee, Centres for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (pCERWASS) located in each of the project provinces and the Town Water Supply Companies. Project staff are located in each of these organisations. The Project Management Office is located in Vinh Long and coordinates activities in each of the provinces through five (5) project components as follows:

Project Goal and Components

Programs have been developed and implemented for each of the components above. Baseline studies, hygiene and health related promotion activities, capacity building, training programs, engineering studies and monitoring and evaluation processes installed to fulfil the following objectives.

Project Objectives

To improve community based planning, management, participation and maintenance of RWSS facilities;

To develop the capacity of the institutions responsible for delivering RWSS services; and

To develop and implement appropriate and sustainable water supply and sanitation services for poor and rural communities/villages and district towns.
